By creating an account or using FamilyFlux you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use it.
1. Your account
You sign in with Google or with an email address and password. Keep your sign-in safe; anything done from your account is treated as done by you. [PLACEHOLDER: minimum age for an own account, and the rule for children added by a parent or guardian.]
2. What FamilyFlux is
FamilyFlux shows the people you add where each other are, tells them when someone arrives or leaves a place, runs meets with live ETAs, sends live links, and has a messenger with voice and video calls. It is free. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
3. Sharing location is your choice — and theirs
- Only share your own location, or the location of a child you are responsible for.
- Never use FamilyFlux to track someone without their knowledge and consent. Secretly installing it on someone else's phone, or using it to stalk, control or harass anyone, is forbidden and may be a crime.
- Anyone in a group can turn their sharing off or leave at any time.
4. Don't rely on it for safety
Positions, arrivals, ETAs and battery alerts can be late, wrong or missing — a phone can lose signal, run out of battery or have location switched off. FamilyFlux is not an emergency or safety service. In an emergency, call the emergency services.
5. Your content
Your messages, photos, place names and other content stay yours. You give us the right to store, transmit and display them as needed to run FamilyFlux — for example, showing your arrival to your people. Don't upload what you don't have the right to share.
6. What's not allowed
- Tracking, stalking or harassing anyone;
- Illegal content, and anything that sexualises or exploits a minor, which we report to the authorities;
- Impersonation, spam, or using someone else's account;
- Attacking, scraping or overloading the service.
We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
7. Ending your account
You can leave a group or delete your account in the app at any time (You → Account).
8. Disclaimers and liability
FamilyFlux is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens because a position, alert or ETA was wrong, late or missing, and our total liability is limited to [PLACEHOLDER: liability cap]. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and tell you in the app about material changes; using FamilyFlux afterwards means you accept them.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [PLACEHOLDER: governing law / jurisdiction]. Disputes go to [PLACEHOLDER: venue / dispute-resolution mechanism].
11. Contact
[PLACEHOLDER: contact email]
Before this goes live — a lawyer must check
- Children and parental consent: who may accept these terms for a child, and the minimum age for an own account.
- Covert tracking: some jurisdictions have specific stalkerware laws; check the wording of section 3.
- Safety disclaimer (section 4) and the liability cap, governing law and dispute resolution, which are placeholders.
